Mission
Offer a tutoring and mentoring service that affords students, both young and college age, an environment that promotes active learning, community engagement, and the pursuit of success. Our program also hopes to foster community enrichment by addressing neighborhood concerns and by connecting the Latino population of Oakwood to the greater Greensboro community to deal with local issues.
Description
Guilford College community scholars, Bonner students, and volunteers participate in an after school tutoring program that supports the positive growth of elementary and middle school aged children physically and educationally through exercise and homework assistance.
The site is also operated in partnership with the Center for New North Carolinians, which coordinates ESOL classes and health services for the resident population.

Schedule
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays . We meet in the midsts rocks at 2:15 outside of the grill, leave Guilford at 2:30 and return at 5:30.

- Establish the tutoring program as a consistent source of healthful snacks for participating children.
- Create a community food pantry.
- Utilize report cards to track individual progress and target problem subjects.

4. Take the ramp onto Wendover Ave W E- 1.0 mi

4. Take the ramp onto Wendover Ave W E- 1.0 mi
5. Continue straight to stay on Wendover Ave W E- 0.4 mi
6. Slight left to stay on Wendover Ave W E- 1.9 mi
7. Take the Summit Ave exit- 0.1 mi
8. Turn left onto Summit Ave- 0.9 mi
9. Take the US-29 N/Phillips Ave ramp- 0.1 mi
10. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Reidsville and merge onto US-29 N/N O Henry Blvd- 3.0 mi
11. Turn right onto Oakwood Dr, we're the first trailer on the left
6. Slight left to stay on Wendover Ave W E- 1.9 mi
7. Take the Summit Ave exit- 0.1 mi
8. Turn left onto Summit Ave- 0.9 mi
9. Take the US-29 N/Phillips Ave ramp- 0.1 mi
10. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Reidsville and merge onto US-29 N/N O Henry Blvd- 3.0 mi
11. Turn right onto Oakwood Dr, we're the first trailer on the left
