Project Community Club plays a critical campus role
It connects students, staff and faculty to the communities the Bonner Center works with. Its role is active, performed on and off campus. Project Community Club officers are Bonner Center project coordinators. Club members are team members. As a club, it is funded by student government based upon adherence to Inter-Club Council (ICC) rules that guide all campus clubs. But as an approved Bonner Center community partner, Project Community coordinators and members are supervised by the Bonner Center volunteer training coordinator and Community Scholars program coordinator who double in their roles as official club advisers and who reserve the authority to sign off and approve all reported hours.

The club collaborates with the Bonner Center during Day of Service (DoS), organizes and tables with other site and project coordinators, leads Community Engagement Fairs (CEF), collaborates in the organization of Community Service Institute (CSI) and trains students in Community Engagement Training (CET) exercises and its club serves as a practicum before students go off campus. It leads in the organization of Kids Fest, collaborating closely with Bonner site and project coordinators. It leads in the organization of Staff Appreciation days, collaborating closely with campus offices and departments. Officers keep regular hours at the Bonner Center. They assist Bonner Interns in assessing site and project needs. It is their business to be familiar with community partners’ needs.
